Job description

Are you an enthusiastic and reliable person that can carry out a variety of environmental cleaning operations, local to Preston and seeking an hourly rate starting from £10.90/hour (37 hours per week) & want a great working environment? We are looking for dynamic people who can do the manual removal of litter (litter-picking), fly tipping, fly posting and bulky waste clearance also to make sure this is delivered to a high standard which meets customer expectations. The operative will work to their own initiative identifying opportunities for improvement and driving business development in their area. The successful candidate will work to their own initiative and organise resources to deliver an effective service delivery of maintenance including:

- clean all pathways, verges, roads, hedges and grassed areas, parks and other public open spaces of litter, dog fouling, fly tipping, fly posting, graffiti and other wastes.
- carry out difficult waste removal duties including building and private property clearance.
- litter picking, changing the bins.

The successful operative will have:

- The ability to self-motivate and the desire to work within a team
- Competent in using the appropriate tools where required
- Excellent awareness of Health & Safety and implementing procedures
- Proven ability to achieve/exceed business objectives
- Be physically fit
