MetaCompliance is seeking an experienced Cloud Operations Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will work with a passionate and driven team to develop innovative and award-winning software that addresses cybersecurity awareness in the global market. You will be responsible for supporting the Cloud Platform, ensuring it’s overall stability, and performance through software and security lifecycles. You will also work closely with diverse teams, including engineering, business, and customer-focused teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for the documentation, support, maintenance, and implementation of industry best practices within our cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting Incidents, escalation and troubleshooting activities.
- Monitoring the performance of our Cloud Platform in real-time to ensure efficient and reliable performance for our customers.
- Producing detailed documentation of cloud computing systems, processes and related knowledge
- The support and maintenance of all infrastructure.
- Deploying, improving and supporting Site reliability Engineering practices.
- Maintaining security at all levels of the platform.
- Deploying and supporting automation activities within a CI\CD environment.
- Building, deploying and supporting infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Be and advocate for change and participate in the change management process.
- Contribute to a continuous improvement environment where problems are identified and solved quickly.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Active participation in an out of hours rota for major incidents and releases.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Cloud infrastructure
- Experience with agnostic cloud services such as private/public networks, DNS, security services, load balancers, gateways & firewalls
- Experience with the setup, configuration, and support of SaaS software in a public cloud.
- Ability to autonomously troubleshoot difficult issues,
- Demonstrated ability to work with either AWS services (EC2, Lambda, SES, Athena, S3, RDS) or Azure services (App services including plans, API, Cloud Services, Storage accounts, Redis Cache, CDN, Key vaults).
- Problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement and/or automation.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Linux Debian
- Proficient in one or more scripting languages including but not limited to: Bash, PowerShell, Python etc.
- Operational experience in using Infrastructure as code (IaC) such as Terraform or Arm templates.
- Knowledge and/or experience of databases such as MSSQL, MySQL, MariaDB.
- Knowledge and/or experience with DNS, DMARC, DKIM, SPF & DNSSEC
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- A strong work ethic coupled with a sense of responsibility and a "do what it takes to get the job done" attitude.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Cloud specific qualifications:
- AWS Cloud Practitioner, with one or more of the following: SysOps Administrator, Advanced Networking, Security or DevOps Engineer.
- Azure Fundamentals, with one or more of the following: Azure Administration, Azure DevOps Engineer, Azure Developer, Azure Security Engineer
- Certified in Linux systems administration.
- ITIL foundation certification
