Job description

Level 1 Teaching Assistant - BSL
Axcis is working alongside a mainstream primary provision in Salford. The school would like to appoint a Level 1 Teaching Assistant who can use BSL to start from February 2024 (or sooner if possible) until the end of the academic year. This position will be full-time and could be extended to the right candidate. The candidate should be open to working with children aged 5-11 years. You could be working with small groups of children or on a 1:1 basis. The school is accessible via public transport or car.

The successful Level 1 Teaching Assistant - BSL
- Must have experience working with children
- Must have experience using BSL
- Must have experience supporting children with SEND needs
- Could have a degree (desirable but not essential)
- Be available on a full-time basis
- Must have an Enhanced DBS or be willing to get one on the update service
