Driver Hire Grimsby and Scunthorpe are a leading recruitment company in Northern Lincolnshire with a reputation for excellent customer service and on keeping our customers’ businesses moving. We pride ourselves on our team of dedicated professionals who drive our success, and we’re currently in search of a Temporary Van Driver to join our team during a period of increased demand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate our customer’s 3.5T vehicle, adhering to all UK road traffic laws.
- Load and unload goods as required, ensuring items are secure and protected from damage.
- Plan delivery routes where necessary and ensure timely delivery of items to clients or points of delivery.
- Complete delivery documentation accurately.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients as needed.
- Carry out routine vehicle checks and report any defects or issues.
Requirements:
- A valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work to a schedule and meet delivery deadlines.
- Flexibility in terms of working hours.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and maintain a professional appearance.
