Unilabs UK, a leading provider of diagnostic services, is excited to announce a brand new opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our team as the Commercial Operations Director. This role is instrumental in driving commercial success and overseeing key functions within the organization. If you are a strategic leader with a strong background in healthcare sales or operations, we want to hear from you.

Role Overview: As the Commercial Operations Director, you will be responsible for delivering commercial revenue targets, managing P&L, and leading the Business Development, Key Accounts, Customer Services, and Customer Success teams. You will play a critical role in shaping the commercial strategy, driving growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role will report directly into the Country GM and will be key member of the Country Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute commercial strategies to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.

• Lead and mentor the Business Development, Marketing, Key Accounts, Customer Services, and Customer Success teams. Build a best in class high performing team.

• Manage P&L and ensure effective cost management to optimize profitability.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including NHS and private healthcare providers.

• Partner with Head of UK Operations to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to drive alignment and maximize opportunities.

• Partner with Country GM to represent Unilabs UK at industry events and conferences, building brand awareness and enhancing our reputation.

• Accountable for building and executing the commercial strategic plan by Identifying market trends, competitive insights, and growth opportunities to inform strategic decisions.

• Champion a solution-oriented approach, driving innovation and continuous improvement.

• Take a hands-on, action-oriented approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

• Cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit within the team, fostering creativity and agility.

• Represent Unilabs UK at industry events and conferences, building brand awareness and enhancing our reputation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in healthcare sales or operations management, with a focus on commercial excellence.

• Demonstrated success in leading and coaching high-performing teams.

• Strong understanding of key customers and stakeholders in the healthcare sector, particularly within NHS and private healthcare settings.

• Experience with solution-based selling approaches and complex sales cycles.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a challenger mentality, constantly seeking opportunities for growth and innovation.

• Action-oriented and results-driven, with a track record of delivering against targets.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

• MBA or equivalent qualification preferred but not essential.
