Job Description
You’ll enable and facilitate the delivery of strategic programmes, initially focused on enabling our 3 big rocks to deliver and sustain the benefits committed in our Digital Transformation. These programmes will be set out by the Head of Digital Strategic Programmes through agreement with the CDO, Head of Strategy and Transformation lead.
You’ll act as key partner and provide delivery expertise to help solve the biggest roadblocks in delivering and sustaining the value of our Digital Transformation efforts, interfacing with the DLT, strategy team, Transformation Office and ELT. You’ll also be focused on the most complex challenges across our portfolio and, at times, across the intersection with the rest of the Brambles Enterprise.
Through Quarterly assigned Objectives, you’ll partner with the sponsor (typically a LT member) to either develop and execute to specific roadmap items or remove significant roadblocks. You’ll also be accountable for successful execution of strategic projects and programmes to value realisation.
The role will require an individual that is able to support strategically and help enable delivery with a track record of leading large portfolios of work and a good knowledge of digital supply chain opportunities and solutions.
Major/Key Accountabilities
- Hands-on Programme partner to lead the delivery of our most complex strategic programmes required to deliver and sustain our transformation.
- Lead the delivery of strategic, initially focused on enabling our 3 big rocks to deliver and sustain the benefits committed in our Digital Transformation
- Accountable for the delivery of specific, time-boxed enterprise programmes that remove the biggest roadblocks to our transformation.
- Partner with one or more members of the Digital Leadership to agree the specific statement of work for the programme, ensuring successful transition into business as usual is part of the design and agreement.

- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex digital transformation programmes.
- Lead the development and execution of change plans for complex programmes.
- Keep abreast of a set of programme and project objectives and analyse the path to achieve them from multiple areas
Experience
- Director level experience of leading the end-to-end delivery of complex digital transformation programmes.
- 5+ years’ experience within a technical/digital industry or role, including experience of building multi-region/global innovation initiatives.
- Experience in leading the development and execution of change plans for complex programmes.
- Experience working within the software development or Internet industries is highly desired.
- Experience of developing target operating models would be an advantage, potentially within a business change or organisational effectiveness setting.
- Working knowledge of modern software development practices and technologies such as agile methodologies and DevOps.
- Comfortable and capable of dealing with a wide-range of technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Successfully planned, tracked and communicated progress on complex projects with multiple work-streams
- Demonstrated industry leadership in the fields of Data Analytics transformation, Data Innovation and Data Value Creation
- Track record of communicating complex technical ideas in a clear and precise manner
- Experience working within the software development or Internet industries is highly desired.
- Experience of working with internal business stakeholders and/or external customers to shape high-impact data analytics projects.
- Strong organisational navigation experience - able to grasp a set of programme and project objectives and analyse the path to achieve them from multiple areas – Organizational dependencies, project governance, political challenges, technical dependencies and business acceptance
- Extensive Agile delivery experience.
- Experience leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Management of complex stakeholder relationships, including C-suite.
- Delivery, planning and executing the individual work streams.
Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications
- BA or BS required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- Technical degrees in computer science, software engineering, or mathematics as an advantage
- Ability to understand enterprise wide business problems and issues and frame them into a data driven environment
- Be a creative who is intellectually curious with a demonstrated interest in learning.
- Strong need to be a self-motivated, high-energy individual who can easily function in a high demand, performance-driven environment.
- Accustomed to working on multiple tasks in parallel.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills, notably the ability to gain credibility with team members and gravitas when navigating senior level management without direct line management.
- Demonstrated awareness and understanding of key areas of data and digital transformation technologies of relevance to Brambles ambition.
- Working knowledge of modern software development practices and technologies such as agile methodologies and DevOps.
- Ability to work independently, with little direction, and to tight and evolving deadlines.
