Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule transportation services for shipments, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Communicate with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and support throughout their journeys.
- Monitor the status of shipments, resolve any transportation-related issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their transportation needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to transportation activities.
- Continuously optimize routes and transportation processes to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Proactively address any delays or disruptions in the transportation process to minimize impact on customer satisfaction.
- Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices.
The Successful Applicant
The succesful Transport Coordintor:
- Previous experience in transportation coordination, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in using transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to safety and attention to detail.
