Sanderson G&D are working with a world renowned IT firm operating within the UK Defence sector who have an opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer or Architect with Documentation experience to come in as a largely hands on Engineer/Architect but with additional Documentation responsibilities.
This could be a brilliant 'step-up' opportunity for someone currently working at Senior Infrastructure/3rd Line/Senior Sys Admin level with documentation experience who is interested in specialising in that area, or at the upper end we would also look at an architect who wishes to be slightly more hands on and who has a strong documentation experience.
It's worth noting that this is significantly more hands on/technical than a document controller or author role, and people from these roles would need to have a background in more technical roles to succeed in this position.
In terms of specific requirements, you should have the majority of the following:
Windows or Linux background
Some scripting, ideally in Powershell or Java but we are open to other transferable experience in this area
ALD or HLD document writing
Document design and management
You will be coming into a wider team as the documentation SME, so this should be an area of strength.
You must hold, or be able to achieve, a high level of government clearance.
