Support Worker

Are you an experienced support worker looking for a new challenge?

I have the role for you!

A Secondary SEMH provision in the Burnley area is looking for 2x dynamic, motivated support worker to work within their alternative provision. The pupils who attend this provision have previously struggled within a mainstream setting, therefore, may display signs of challenging behaviour.

This role is to work across their KS3/KS4 department offering general support to the pupils as directed by the class teacher. Within this role you may be required to work with pupils on a 1:1 basis. You will need to display the stamina, resilience and patience to inspire and re-engage the pupils within their learning.

Important information

- Full-time (Monday - Friday; 8:30 - 3:30pm)

- Part-time (3 days a week, flexible house 8:30am - 3:30pm)

- Temporary contract

- Start date: 11 th March 2024

- End date: 19 th July 2024

Experience supporting pupils within an education capacity is not essential, applicants with a Care, Support, military, coaching background are encouraged to apply. If you also have personal experience, you are also encouraged to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
