Job description
As members of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, each hotel offers impressive meeting spaces, exquisitely appointed bedrooms and suites, excellent wellness facilities and award winning dining across five restaurants.
The Group Digital Marketing Executive role is office based at the Elite Hotels group office, on site at Ashdown Park Hotel in East Sussex, however travel to The Grand (Eastbourne) and Tylney Hall (Hook) will be required. This is ideally a full-time role however part-time hours (to 30 hours per week) would be considered.
The role is key in supporting the Head of Marketing and Communications in the delivery of marketing plans for the company by having ownership of Elite Hotels’ digital presence. The role will manage and drive overall digital marketing strategies across Elite Hotels achieving key objectives and a successful return on investment from all planned initiatives across Elite’s wonderful portfolio of hotels.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Planning
- Assist in the creation of the annual sales and marketing plan, with specific input into the digital marketing calendar.
- Organise workload effectively based on priority campaigns and activations.
- Actively participate in content creation and idea generation, taking the lead in procuring content to sell our story.
- Develop digital campaigns to target key business segments and address need areas within the business.
Online Presence
- Ownership of company website (via Drupal content management system) ensuring timely changes when required, regular audits and absolute consistency across the group.
- Ownership of marketing content on key partner and 3rd party sites to deliver maximum results through content management. This includes but is not limited to, hotel descriptions, visual asserts, promotions, blog articles and relevant news stories.
- Assist with the qualification of new 3rd party sites and online advertising opportunities ensuring they represent a strong return on investment.
- Work closely with key digital suppliers, sharing ideas, assimilating results, and driving success.
- Responsible for building customer relationships, and enhancing the customer journey, through all digital channels available.
- Utilise all digital channels available to market each hotel’s events calendar to maximise sales.
- In conjunction with our digital agency, ensure our Google/Bing/Apple visibility is consistent across the group, and optimised to deliver business goals.
E-Mail Marketing
- Instrumental in the creation of the annual e-mail marketing campaign and communication plan, tailored to the needs of each individual hotel and group promotions.
- Create, build and send frequent e-mail campaigns based on the agreed plan to ensure set objectives are achieved.
- Oversee automated guest communication making recommendations and adjustments as required.
- Analyse activity results, communicate findings with key stakeholders and evolve future activity where required.
- Full ownership of CRM system (Revinate), ensuring its maximum potential.
Social Media Marketing
- Responsible for our social media voice across group and hotel profiles, on key channels (namely Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn).
- Schedule, post and respond to guest interaction.
- Develop and deliver social media campaigns to support segment objectives.
- Be fully versed in the field, keeping a keen eye on trends, challenges and making recommendations for Elite Hotels’ future social media strategy.
- Analyse activity results, communicate findings with key stakeholders and amend future activity where required.
- Achieve and exceed social media goals for growth and engagement.
Product Knowledge
- Become an ambassador for Elite Hotels by getting under the skin of each individual property and developing an excellent knowledge of our many services.
- Build strong and lasting relationships with key members of the hotel teams, to support the creation of content and delivery of business goals.
- Develop strong relationships with Group Sales & Revenue to ensure a unified approach.
- Ensure brand consistency across all communication.
- Be knowledgeable of all areas of the marketing team to assist with other key projects in additional to digital when the business need arises.
- Attend industry training programmes/seminars/ networking opportunities when required.
Finance and Reporting
- Assist in the creation of regular campaign reporting to be distributed across the company.
- Analyse and report quarterly digital performance metrics and data to key stakeholders and the wider sales & marketing team.
- Attend and present at regular meetings with group and hotel teams.
Key Skills and Qualities
- A broad understanding of the digital marketing landscape
- Computer Literate including Microsoft 365
- Strong time management skills
- Excellent copywriting/proof reading skills
- Exemplary attention to detail
- Analytical
- 2+ years of working knowledge in a marketing related role
- 1+ years use of social media and email in a B2C business
- Confident when dealing with key stakeholders (internal and external)
- Takes pride in and ownership of work
- Organised approach to workload
- Adaptable to new tasks/challenges
- Can do attitude
