You
You will be actively engaged in the development and Project Management of an array of Energy Optimisation Projects. The role will involve direct communication with Clients, Sub-contractors and Suppliers in industrial sectors.
You must be a self-starter, resilient and highly motivated. You must be able to deal effectively with conflicting priorities and tactfully deal with challenging matters that arise. This role requires the ability to support the development and creation of work plans, schedule tasks and coordinate with various team members to accomplish well-orchestrated goals.
The project may require tasks to be performed by several teams simultaneously. You are an integral part of the Project Team, ensuring that projects are kept on track and possessing the ability to both micromanage and foresee the entire project as a whole. A future focus and the flexibility to adapt to change are key characteristics
Responsibilities:
- Lead assigned projects to completion
- Refine the project budget as needed to ensure timeliness and fiscal responsibility
- Resolve client and vendor concerns in a timely and respectful fashion, and ensure that the company maintains a positive image and provides unrivaled services
- Assign, schedule and communicate job expectations.
- Achieving operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; coordinating internal activities and subcontractor actions with relevant teams; scheduling installations which includes maintaining productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
- Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements and liaising with the necessary teams to schedule expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Experience & Qualifications:
- B.S. in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
- PMP Certification desired.
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Previous Management Experience
- Will have previous experience with process improvement, planning, performance management and tracking budget expenses and report generation
Preferred Qualifications and Experience :
- PMP Certified
- Working knowledge of CDM Health & Safety regulations
- Selection of pumps (centrifugal, positive displacement, floating , diaphragm ,etc). Operation of pumps (NPSH, materials, cavitation , etc)
- Understanding of common materials in the industry (alloys, stainless steel , PVC , etc)
- Operation and basics of design of compressed air systems (air compressors, distribution networks, etc.)
- Steam generation (boilers, economizers, O2 control, Combustion control, deaerators, blowdown control, etc, ). Boiler’s efficiency (factors affecting efficiency, control, and improvements )
- Steam distribution, condensate return, and recovery, generation of flash steam, etc.
- Heat exchangers (shell & tube, plate ) , selection, performance, and efficiency.
- Piping and ducting (selection of material . basics of design, installation, specifications,etc)
- Installation of equipment (lifting, temporary installation, assembly of parts,etc)
- Electrical motors (selection, applications, Variable Speed Drives, installation, power transmission,etc. )
- Understanding of process control (control valves, speed control of motors, etc) and common instrumentation (temperature, flow, pressure, and density measurements )
- Basic proficiency of Autocad (2D minimum)
