Job description

What you will do in your working day

• Inputting income and expenses for a variety of clients using Sage accounting software
• Assisting with Payroll processing
• Helping to compile VAT returns
• Covering reception duties like answering telephones when needed
• Scanning and photocopying
• Answering emails as needed
• Working on accounts preparation under the supervision of accountants

The training you will be getting

An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage, gain valuable work experience and industry specific competence. You will be
expected to work towards the Accounts or finance assistant Level 2, with support from your employer and the Chesterfield College Group.

Apprentices will be required to take one of the professional qualifications listed below, as chosen by the employer to be most relevant to the job role:

AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting
ACCA Certificate in financial and management accounting (level 2)
IAB Level 2 certificate in bookkeeping
ICB Level 2 certificate in bookkeeping

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Progression to L3 upon sucessful completion of apprenticeship for the right candidate
