Job description

What you will do in your working day

• Print Daily orders form Linn works (Linn works is software that holds all our online orders from various platforms in one single place to manage).
• Source product and order data and migrate the data.
• Collate and format for processing.
• Take data from various platforms to explore if it has any business relevance and support business growth.
• Collaborate with external people to create value from data sourced.
• Sort and allocate order to process based on product categories to various Individuals.
• Coordinate all orders, daily count and processing dispatch on ‘’Linnworks’’ and Shipping Companies.
• The coordinating and checking of orders.
• Producing a manifest using software on Linnworks and Royal mail postal system to see all orders have done and registered on Linnworks etc.
• Dealing with our online website and the data produced from the website.
• Sort any issues of unfillable orders etc.
• Deal with customer queries and issues, via phone and email etc.

The training you will be getting

Firebrand’s sector leading Level 3 Data Technician (L3DT) Apprenticeship Programme Standard trains apprentices to be able source, format and present data securely in a relevant way for analysis using basic methods. Our programme will enable apprentices to:

• Communicate outcomes appropriate to varying audiences.
• Analyse structured and unstructured data to support business outcomes.
• Blend data from multiple sources as directed.
• Apply legal and ethical principles when manipulating data.

Firebrands course is delivered either Online (online live instructor led), or face to face in the classroom environment (your choice). Our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Learning Mentors (LMs) and world-leading trainers prepare apprentices to work across multiple sectors.

Completion of this apprenticeship will provide learners with the following world class vendor certifications in addition to the Data Technician apprenticeship:

• Data Analysis and Visualisation in Excel

Key areas covered are:

• Role of the Data Technician
• Introduction to Excel
• Fundamentals of visualisation
• Open-source resources
• Types formats and structures of data
• Identification of Data Quality issues
• Database and Data Warehouse fundamentals
• Dash boarding
• Analysis of Data in Excel including power query and power pivot.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

• The role may offer a permanent role upon completion of the apprenticeship, depending on performance.
