SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Bilston
We are working with a local primary school who are on the lookout for a dedicated 1-1 special educational needs (SEN) teaching assistant to support children within their mainstream lessons. The role is long-term and full-time working 1-1 with students.
The Role:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and physical disabilities.
- Assist the class teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other support strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Promote inclusion and ensure all students have equal access to learning opportunities and resources.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, preferably in a school setting.
- 24 months worth of references with at least 1 working with children in the UK.
- A valid DBS registered to the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Valid right to work in the UK documents.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
