Job description


Term time only - 32.5 hours per week. Salary Grade: 11 Salary Range: £36,648 - £39,186 pro-rata; actual salary £28,151 - £30,101 Cotham School, a successful, vibrant and diverse 11-18 comprehensive school, wishes to appoint an experienced counsellor to work with our students from Year 7 to Year 13 in a range of therapeutic capacities, including 1:1 counselling sessions and group workshops. The successful applicant will have the necessary knowledge, skills and vision to approach this role with forward-thinking creativity, adapting to the emerging needs of the students of Cotham School and North Bristol Post 16. The Cotham School Counsellor is an integral part of a large inclusion and wellbeing team which serves a diverse cohort of young people. The role will predominantly involve direct working with young people across the secondary and Post 16 age ranges. It will also involve collaborative team-working, creative visioning and multi-agency working.
