Description:

Purpose of Job
You will be part of the Electronics team within GKN Innovation Centre and work with a wider team of Software, Motor Control, Packaging and Electric Motor experts. The team in Abingdon is responsible for design and development of ECUs, automotive Traction Inverters and Electric Drive Units for Electric Vehicles.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
Design and develop Inverter Electronics (Component selection, circuit design, simulation, debug, and Test)

Required Experience and Skills

• Engineering Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• Good Academic Achievement
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and able to work unassisted, with strong interpersonal skills and a flexible approach suitable for working in a small team

Experience and Skills

• Industry experience of one or 2 years and or relevant Industrial placement
• Hands on implementation of industry, academic or hobby projects
  

Qualifications
BEng or higher
