BRACKNELL FOREST BC
Location
Bracknell, Berkshire | United Kingdom
Job description
Assistant Director: Property
Bracknell Forest is an ambitious, resilient, and sustainable organisation. Our property estate boasts a diverse array of industrial, commercial, and community assets inherited from our new town legacy. These assets serve dual purposes: generating income to fund essential services and delivering societal benefits for the residents of the borough. Within these benefits are the creation of employment spaces, the promotion of vibrant communities, and the provision of leisure, sports, arts, and cultural facilities.
We are looking for an innovative and influential property professional, with a RICS Surveyors Valuer background. A leader who has the capability to deliver our asset management strategy and maximise the value in our property estate. You will work with grant funders to secure resources for our strategic priorities, and partners to maximise our likelihood of success. In addition, you should be comfortable in delivering a construction and maintenance programme, managing our team to commission multi–discipline teams to design and project manage corporate in–house developments. You will also recognise the value of hard and soft FM services to keep buildings safe, securing and meeting the needs of the users.
You must be both corporately impactful, and a supportive people centric manager. Bracknell Forest is a technology led organisation, so you should be comfortable working with our rich digital tools, data sets and constant technology transformation.
This is a real chance to shape a forward–thinking council's property strategy. You will have industry knowledge of current best practice in this space and be able to critique our offering with an expert lens. What is most critical for this role is the power of influence and collaboration. We need the right candidate to bring forward challenging conversations to help us to continue to develop our estate, and to create a solid foundation for 'Ambitious solutions to achieve resilience and sustainability'.
We champion equality, diversity and inclusion here at Bracknell Forest and we know creating innovation for our diverse communities starts from having diverse people at the decision–making table. We need someone who embodies this value in attitude, work style and lived experience. We therefore welcome applications from candidates from all backgrounds, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
