We are seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Negligence Lawyer to join our expanding legal team. This is a remote position, but the successful candidate must be willing and able to travel to visit clients in the South Coast or East Anglia area (one or the other), therefore being based in one of these areas would be an advantage. The successful candidate will have proven experience in running medical negligence cases. Job Description:

• Managing a case of load of approximately 50 Clinical Negligence files
• Comply with time recording and financial targets
• Develop relationships with new clients, medical experts, counsel
• Running cases from commencement to settlement, making full use of our case management system
• Potential to pursue claims in litigation to trial
• Assisting with the vetting process of new claims.
• Communicating via email and calls with clients, insurers, expert witnesses and solicitors
• Reporting to team supervisor
• Working within a team environment to provide relevant input to cases

Person Specification

• Proven experience in handling Clinical Negligence cases
• Excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Highly efficient, with high levels of attention to detail
• Compassion and empathy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Initiative and dexterity of thought: cases are rarely straightforward
• An ability to thrive under pressure
