We are recruiting for a Permanent Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a practice in Holsworthy, Devon. This is a full time offering a 4 day week with shared Saturday rote. The practice provide their own OOH so there is 1:8 weekend rota with the Monday off in lieu and then 4 nights in a 4 week period on call.
- Type: Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon
- Hours Mon-Fri: Full time = 4 day week working 35 hours
- Lieu: Mondays off after working on call weekend
- Oncall: 4 Nights in 4 weeks ( including the weekend nights worked)
- Team: 2 Vets, Nursing, ANAs and reception team.
- Computer System: TBC
The role:
- The role is full time working a 4 day week with a shared Saturday rota.
- There is a 1:8 weekend OOH rota with the Monday off in lieu. There is a 4 nights in 4 weeks on call and two of those are included in a weekend worked.
- The practice are able to support various levels of experience however the practice ideally would be looking for a newly graduated Vet due to the level of support they can offer.
- The role is 1 st opinion small animal practice with a mixture of consultations and surgeries. They are able to offer a varied caseload that will support clinical development.
- The Vet would be joining a support team that values each other and offers a respectful and supportive working environment.
- The Vet will be responsible for communicating with clients with regards to updates on their pets health.
- The role offers ongoing development benefits with support and funding available for certificates.
- The Vet will be responsible for providing a high level of Veterinary Care to patients.

About You:
- You will be a qualified veterinary surgeon with a desire to work with a forward-thinking veterinary practice. You must have a real passion for the industry and strive to provide the highest standards of care. Excellent customer service skills are also essential.
- The practice can accept applications from various levels of experience.
- The Vet will be a team player with excellent communications skills and be able to establish good working relationships with both clients and the fellow colleagues.
Package:
- Salary: Starting from £34,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
- Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave incl bank holidays
- CPD: £1750 allowance with 5 days paid pro rata
- Memberships: VDS and RCVS fees paid plus two other memberships
- Annual pay reviews
