Quantity Surveyor

We are currently seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our clients growing commercial team in Rickmansworth on a high profile, high value infrastructure project. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with the project team, driving profit and minimising risk on the construction of various structures including tunnels and bridges. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established, well regarded main contractor on an interesting and complex project.

Some of the Quantity Surveyors key responsibilities will include:

• Provide efficient management of all the commercial functions of the packages of work you are responsible for from procurement through to final accounts
• Review and evaluate contractor's claims for additional payment
• Provide advice on procurement strategy, contract conditions, and commercial risks
• Prepare and issue tender documentation and conduct tender evaluations
• Prepare and submit monthly cost reports to the project team and clients
• Ensure compliance with all contractual and statutory requirements

Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have experience in the following areas:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying within the UK's construction sector
• Experience working on infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost control
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
