Job description

The governors of Plymouth Nursery School Federation are looking to appoint a Head of School to work closely within the IDEAL Alliance with our CEO to contribute to the further development of our early years centre of excellence for the city.

The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher, experienced in managing and leading the early years. They should have a good understanding of the challenging facing the sector and the skills and aptitudes to support us to continue to thrive and develop our offer for our communities.

A specialism in managing children with additional needs would be a helpful attribute.

The Nursery Federation has two schools and a daycare provision for under twos. It is also part of the Early Years Southwest Stronger Practice Hub and in an alliance with Yealmpstone Farm Primary School and Bright Stars Nursery. The governors are committed to supporting the continuous professional development of the successful applicant and the latest evidence based research for the early years sector through the Stronger Practice Hub.
