Job Title: Bid Writer
Location: Portsmouth, UK (2 days onsite)
Salary: £35,000
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bid Writer/ Proposal writer to join the team, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our business by leading the development of high-quality proposal responses that meet the needs of our clients. This role requires a combination of subject matter expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications and Skills:
Degree qualification preferred.
Practical and relevant work experience required.
Good project management skills, ideally within proposal management or business winning.
Experience with PQQs, RFIs, ITT/ITN/RFP/RFQ, or Frameworks.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize workload and challenge constructively to ensure business needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the lead Subject Matter Expert in bid writing, ensuring the delivery of completed, customer-focused written proposal responses against agreed deadlines.
Rewrite/edit proposal responses from various stakeholders, including Business Development, technical/product teams, finance, commercial, legal, and project delivery.
Coach capture teams and subject matter experts in best practice writing techniques.
Assist in analyzing RFQs against proposal outlines to ensure compliance and responsiveness to customer requirements.
Lead storyboard sessions with bid/proposal team members and key stakeholders.
Identify, capture, and interpret verbal information from Subject Matter Experts and synthesize proposal copy.
Undertake final quality checks of proposal writing, ensuring customer focus, clarity, and articulation.
Can't provide any sponsorship, so only candidates with the existing right to work in the UK will be considered for this role.
