Job description
As a Principal Data Architect at Thoughtworks, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives and backgrounds. In this role, you will play a key part in developing modern data architecture approaches to meet key business objectives and provide end-to-end data solutions. You might spend time with a new client on a deep technical review or organizational review, aiding them in unlocking the potential of data to address their most pressing problems. Your contributions will extend to helping clients design scalable architecture and providing technical leadership to our teams.
You will consult on complex data programs, synchronizing cross-cutting data architectural concerns
You will provide client-facing technical leadership and guidance on topics related to data architecture, engineering, and analytics to advise clients on bringing their data strategy to life
You will lead and interact with clients across various domains, addressing a spectrum of challenging problems
You will collaborate with diverse teams engaged in the program, connecting their work with the broader data strategy
You will ensure effective communication and alignment between architects, engineers, decision-makers, and business stakeholders
You will communicate both high-level and low-level technical details of data architecture to engineers and business stakeholders
You will be responsible for data governance, data security, and data privacy to support business and compliance requirements
You will seamlessly incorporate data quality into day-to-day work and the delivery process
You will develop your career outside traditional paths by focusing on your passion rather than a predetermined one-size-fits-all plan
You will represent Thoughtworks in various online and offline forums, including events and conferences
You have experience in providing advisory and consultative guidance for clients and cross-delivery teams
You have a track record in demonstrating innovation and expertise in data architectures, technology alternatives, data strategy, governance, security, and other data-related concerns
You have experience in utilizing data-driven solutions with a deep understanding of data modeling and experience with tools/platforms like Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, and more
You have experience in developing real-time and low-latency data streaming solutions
You have a track record of ensuring proper data governance policies, including data lineage, quality checks, and classification
You have experience with productionise machine learning models and apply data security strategy to solve business problems
You are excited about data infrastructure and operations, with familiarity working in cloud environments
You have strong problem-solving and consulting skills
You have a track record with stakeholder management, fostering collaboration between clients and key stakeholders
You are resilient in ambiguous situations, adapting roles to address challenges from multiple perspectives
You enjoy coaching, mentoring, and motivating others while promoting technical excellence and openness to change
You have a track record of proven leadership, encouraging professional development and building strong partnerships
You have the expertise in one of the specific domains, such as automotive, healthcare, retail, life sciences, financial services, or public sector
