An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our thriving UK Medical Manufacturing Company to work within our Buildings Department.
We are looking to recruit a Grounds Maintenance Operative to install and maintain the flowers, trees, green spaces and external areas of the property.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the health of all plants and greenspaces, watering and feeding plants, trimming trees and shrubs, fertilising and mowing lawns, weeding gardens and keeping green spaces and walkways clear of debris and litter. Management of the waste disposal bins on site also forms a crucial part of the role on a daily basis.

You should know how to use and maintain landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers and fertilisers, as well as fencing and concrete repair to the grounds infrastructure while following Health and Safety Regulations. You will make sure our gardens and green spaces are always looking clean, healthy and beautiful.

Essential Experience/Qualifications:

• The ability to communicate in English (verbal and written)
• Experience as a professional Gardener/ Landscaper
• Familiarity with landscaping design
• Extensive knowledge of regional plant life
• Knowledge of local pests and how to eliminate them
• Knowledge of synthetic and natural fertilisers
• Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations for landscaping
• The ability to lift heavy objects
• The ability to remain on your feet for long periods of time
• A love of the outdoors and plant life
• Ability to complete road surface repairs and fencing builds

Hours of Work:

• 40 hours per week
• Monday - Friday
• 08:00 am - 16:30 pm
