Job description
Attendance at daily 08:00 Trauma meetings. You are expected to have reviewed all patients admitted the previous day to present at the meeting. A 11am documented ward round must be carried out with the ward cover SHO, F1 doctor and the nursing staff. This aims to review all trauma patients regarding their orthopaedic problems. Second on-call cover for emergencies. You must respond to an A&E call if the SHO is called away to see a sick patient. See any ward referrals to orthopaedics (not the SHO) Plan next days trauma operating lists, and liaise with on-call anaesthetist to review suitable patient to go first on list.
