Job description
Pure have been exclusively engaged to recruit the newly created position of Financial Controller for a high growth business based in Bishop’s Stortford.
With an outstanding reputation in their industry and a high calibre senior leadership team, this role will be the number two in finance, managing a medium size team, which will need true leadership and mentoring.
This will be a broad role that will oversee the full finance function, delivering first class reporting and analysis that will support strategic decision making.
Key responsibilities:
- To manage the production of monthly management accounts and management information to balance sheet level for internal and external distribution to meet agreed timeframes, provide commentary and analysis.
- To manage cash flow and treasury ensuring relationships are built and maintained and complying with relevant covenants.
- Manage year end processes and co-ordinate to ensure timely audit and submission of year-end accounts by due date each year, including liaising with auditors.
- Provide financial information and support to other departments as required.
- To manage the budgeting and forecasting process to be completed by the start of each financial year and to monitor and report on variances.
- Lead, motivate and develop the finance team.
The candidate:
- Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with relevant experience in a senior finance role.
- Strong technical accounting experience would be beneficial.
- Experience within a high growth SME environment would be desirable.
- Ability to demonstrate financial controls and process improvements.
- The ability to communicate at all levels and be a key influencer.
