Job description
As Training Planning Manager you’ll be responsible for the final planning of all training requirements for operational flight and cabin crew, ensuring that budgetary restrictions are considered. You will provide oversight to the key stakeholders of the Flight Crew and Cabin crew training programmes (incl. TUI’s MPL programme). You will liaise with the AOC NP Crew Training (CT)’s or equivalent within each AOC and you will ensure that valuable feedback is given to the local AOC stakeholders when requested.
Reporting into the Head of Manpower and Vacation planning, you will be a key stakeholder to liaise with the Manpower teams to produce the optimal training plan, embedded in the seasonal model of TUI airline.Please note this role is responsible for the planning and scheduling of training plans and not for the delivery of training courses/programmes.
We are happy to consider this role on a hybrid working model with a requirement to be in your local office base (or other TUI Airline source market office) just a couple of times per month. Local office attendance requirements may also need to be observed.

ABOUT THE JOB
As Training Planning Manager you will:
- Highlight and work with stakeholders to proactively manage the key interdependencies between the planning of the training programme and the delivery
- Ensure that the short, medium and long term consequences, to both the training plan and the operational environment, are highlighted before final recommendations are made
- Identify fact-based recommendations around risks and opportunities within any changes to the training plan, and communicate effectively and in a timely manner to senior stakeholders as required
- Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure an integrated and collaborative approach to the training plan which delivers, operational flexibility, and cost saving initiatives, process analysis and improvement, removing any obstacles along the way
- Conduct monthly monitoring and reporting of KPI’s to determine training quality, productivity, cost and other indicative measures as required by the business
- Effectively lead, develop and manage the Crew Training Planning Team to ensure they have the knowledge, skills, and motivation to perform to a consistently high standard
- Involve, inspire and effectively lead change across the Crew Training Planning Team to challenge working practices, driving process improvements, implementing new initiatives and maximising automated applications
- Provide feedback, training, guidance and support to champion a service culture within Crew Training Planning and deliver optimal performance across the team
- Drive continuous improvements and innovation across the Crew Training Planning team to maximise crew productivity, operational flexibility and in-depth analysis with reporting and identification of cost saving opportunities
- Deliver optimal training plans in conjunction with Flight and Cabin Crew stakeholders to ensure availability of crew to the line is optimised from a productivity and cost perspective, and tracking delivery of the training plan to manage establishment and / or financial impact of any deviation from plan and communicate with key stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure effective decision making

ABOUT YOU
- Clear and effective communication with various stakeholders and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyse training data, performance metrics, and feedback to identify areas for improvement in crew training programs and processes
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Deep understanding of training planning aviation regulations
- Commitment to continuous improvement, seeking opportunities to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality in the crew training planning area
- A logical thinker with the ability to generate ideas and alternatives
- Leadership qualities to provide guidance and direction to the training planning team, and other team members involved in Manpower and Crew Training
- Role requires strong business English, both spoken and written, and may involve some international travel
