The Opportunity
The Plant Reliability Manager is accountable for managing the maintenance of the plant’s production equipment, electrical systems and utilities across a multisite infrastructure to ensure compliant and environmental safety regulations are met.
What you will contribute
- Conduct periodic inspection and provide guidance concerning all plant systems, equipment, facilities and grounds.
- Oversee all changes or upgrades in line with legislation and best practice
- Ensures all maintenance techniques are followed on production equipment by scheduling repairs and upgrades while simultaneously working to maximise plant uptime.
- Coach and mentor your direct reports utilising a route course methodology, integrate where practical preventative and predictive maintenance philosophies
- Supervise training of personnel to ensure all skills (electrical & mechanical) have the required level of expertise.
- Ensures efficiency and high standards are maintained and Support change initiatives to improve performance
- Remain consistent, ensure the development of a continuous improvement culture
- Support sustainability platforms in everything you deploy
- Contribute significantly to the apprenticeship program
- Set standards and KPI’s with a clear line of sight to business objectives
- To own the CMS maintenance system to ensure a common approach is delivered by the team
What you will bring
- Experience communicating and directing the application of safety and environmental regulations.
- Experience in Investigating all accidents/incidents and loss of performance, ensuring proper “root cause analysis” to provide remedial action to prevent reoccurrence.
- The ability to obtain quotations against specifications for projects and deliver in line with the Head of Engineering support.
- Experience coordinating and directing outside contracting work associated with equipment and utilities.
- Effectively manage department budgets in line with functional strategy.
- Play a key part in pulling to functional budgets in line with HOE
- Be data savvy in ensuring effective solutions.
- Ideally a Degree in engineering or related field required OR equivalent years of experience in an Engineering management role
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in maintenance demonstrating plant reliability as a key component
- Demonstrating Leadership abilities with strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong PC skills with an emphasis on MS Office and CMS systems and latest cloud technology.
