Job description

The Highbank Centre provides specialist care and rehabilitation for adults and children who have sustained a brain injury, including ventilator dependent, and is part of the Priory Group. The centre is dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of adults and children through close interdisciplinary team working. We are a mutli disciplinary team consisting of Doctors, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and a Dietitian. We operate as a close team to develop and improve the independence of all our patients. Utilising a holistic patient centred mindset, we develop all of our programmes with the patient and their families and facilitate various social activities to help enhance their daily lives. We are looking to recruit a Bank Chef to work as and when required. Start and finish time to suit the needs of the business but will be flexible for the right candidate. Your role will involve assisting with the provision of a catering service within a Priory unit with particular emphasis on the planning, preparation, cooking and serving of meals. The post holder should ideally be qualified by relevant experience within a professional kitchen environment. The post holder will be required to undertake specialist dietary training, as well as partaking in Priory's mandatory training programme. Applicants will be subject to recruitment and selection procedures designed to emphasise the Unit's commitment to the safeguarding of its service users. The successful candidate will be required to apply for a disclosure at the enhanced level from the Disclosure & Barring Services, which will be paid for by the Priory.
