You’ll also have access to some great benefits including: The role The Operational Readiness Activation and Transition (ORAT) Manager is a key role, planning, coordinating, and delivering of operational readiness activities associated with the Manchester Airport Transformation project. As ORAT Manager you’ll be responsible for ensuring the successful introduction of new facilities and processes, making sure they are proven to be safe and reliable to operate, and that the teams working there are fully prepared to deliver from day one. You will plan and co-ordinate proving trials and manage the transition to live operations. The role can be varied and could be working across the airport including airfield, baggage, within the terminals or car parks. You will be working with stakeholders from across the airport from contractors delivering the project, planners, H&S and operational colleagues ensuring that any risks or issues are understood, captured and managed prior to go-live. Where needed you’ll support the planning and delivery of familiarisation/training to operations team. What will make you successful in the role? We’re looking for someone with experience managing the delivery of projects, both internal and third party. You’ll have great stakeholder management skills and be able to lead and influence at all levels. You’ll also need to be an effective communicator and be able to present clearly and confidently. Experience managing project plans and logistics would also be beneficial along with a good understanding of airport and airline operations, but we are not expecting the successful candidate to have specialist knowledge of all areas of airport operations.
