Safer Communities Community Engagement Officer needed in Lewisham.

The hourly rate is £22.62ph PAYE

The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a Community Engagement strand of the Safer Communities Service which brings together statutory and non - statutory establishments, community and voluntary services, to assist with the reduction of crime and its associated harms.

They will contribute to the continual development of local knowledge of the drivers, prevalence and wider harms of crime, contribute to the development of risk assessment in relation to crime reduction, identifying local threats. Report directly to and support the work of the Community Safety Coordinator by maintaining and developing a system of project controls, assisting with events and consultation and carrying out project based tasks and use expert knowledge to maintain existing relationships as well as to identify and build new relationships with individuals and groups in your local authority area who are credible and doing important work that contributes to reducing crime in the borough and its associated harms.
