Job description
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to work as the Ward Manager for a CAMHS inpatient ward based in Newham.
We are looking for somebody who is passionate and skilled to take on this role.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be enthusiastic, forward thinking and have a keen interest in working with adolescents and their families in a mental health setting. You will be working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, providing care for young people with a wide range of needs.
The Clinical Nurse Manager will have 24-hour operational responsibility and accountability for the provision and management of high quality nursing care and for the treatment of service users within the inpatient service area. You will be required to clinically lead, develop the service and nursing team, support care delivery and work with service users and staff to ensure the provision of practices that respond effectively to both individual and service need.
To co-ordinate and provide care and treatment to an identified group of patients without direct supervision. In addition, supporting junior staff in delivery of care provision.
To manage and organise work as required.
Take responsibility for the development and delivery of evidence based practice for service users with complex needs, ensuring that it supports and reflects service user individual needs, Trust objectives and professional guidance.
Promotes evidence based practice and embeds QI.
Postholder will be responsible for high quality care provision with highly complex service users and groups.
