Our Diesel Service Technicians assist in maintaining our fleet, so it functions safely and operates at top performance. Technicians are primarily responsible for preventative maintenance on Mixer Trucks, Dump Trucks, Pump Trucks, Bulk Tankers, and Tractor Trailer Dump Trucks, while gaining exposure to valuable training in repairs and diagnostics by our Diesel Fleet Mechanics, Shop Foremen, and Division Fleet Managers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Repair and preventative maintenance
· Truck engine maintenance; lube, oil, and filter
· Willing to learn about spring and air suspension systems, air brake systems, and hydraulic systems. Familiarity in these areas is a plus.
· Performs engine performance and wiring diagnostics to isolate performance problems and complete necessary repairs
· Ability to assist in, or perform repairs on all equipment involved in the production of ready-mix concrete including front end loaders and conveyors in the ready-mix plant and able to perform some welding and fabrication
· Maintaining a clean work bench and shop area
· General welding skills preferred, but not required
Qualifications:
· Driver's license required; CDL holder is a plus
· General knowledge of diesel engines
· Must be a team player
· Relevant tools are required
· Repair and implement preventative maintenance
· Truck engine maintenance; lube, oil, and filter
