Job description
We have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and inspirational saxophone teacher to join our team of teachers at Pate’s on a Freelance basis from September 2024.
There are currently 20 saxophone students to teach, plus, for the right person, the conducting of two excellent jazz bands.
You will be an experienced teacher with the ability to teach Saxophone from beginner level to beyond grade 8.
There is a strong tradition of jazz within the school. The Big Band has reached national finals in Music for Youth and the National Concert Band Festival.
The right candidate will have a wide repertoire of teaching strategies, and the adaptability to respond to a wide range of pupils. Good communication skills with pupils, parents and school are essential. An active interest in current instrumental teaching, research and development is also expected.
