We are currently recruiting for a fixed term Deployment Coordinator to join our people team based in our office inWishaw. The role involves lots of communication with our employees you should therefore be a confidentcommunicator. Previous experience of managing absence would be advantageous. You should be able to prioritiseyour workload, manage competing prioritise and work to deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

We are looking for experienced practitioners who will be able to provide leadership and support to their teams. Youwill work with the people we support and their team members to ensure that people receive care and support inline with their wishes and the National Health and Social Care Standards.

You will be joining a team of supportive, values driven managers who are responsible for the day-to-day management ofsupported living services. This will range from shift cover, reviewing and updating support plans, chairing teammeetings, and providing support as required to your teams. The role is predominately office based although theremay be the odd occasion, once all options have been exhausted, that you will be required to go on shift. Thereare also out of hours (on-call) responsibilities with the role which is completed on a rotational basis – ifthis falls on the weekend you will receive days off the following week.

You must be willing to join and adhere to the SSSC codes of practice. If you don’t already have the qualificationsassociated with your role you must be willing to work towards these. The organisation will give you support withthis.

We are currently recruiting for a full-time account assistant to join the organisations finance team. We are lookingfor someone who has at least one years’ experience in a similar role however this does not need to have beenwith a non – profit or social care organisation as training will be given. The ideal candidate will be able toprioritise their workload, manage competing priorities and work to deadlines while maintaining accuracy. Theyshould have excellent communication skills as they will be liaising with various stakeholders.

• Sales and Purchase Ledgers

• Assisting the Head of Finance

Deafblind Scotland is the specialist charity working with adults who are living with dual sensory impairment or thosewho have a severe single sensory impairment and are at risk of a second sensory impairment, whether that is asight or hearing loss. Our ambitions are high for members’ and we are therefore at the cutting edge of findingways to support people to lead their most meaningful life. Deafblindness can be a devastating condition that canmake daily life extremely challenging and as a result, many dual sensory impaired people become isolated. Ourservices can make a vital difference to their lives; enabling people to regain confidence, develop vitalcommunication skills and re-establish social connections.

We are recruiting for a Part-Time Service Team Leader who will provide acting up duties to cover Service Manager’sMaternity Leave and thereafter support the Service Manager in the day-to-day delivery of our Guide Communicatorservice. The post holder will also provide support and supervision to Guide/Communicator staff to ensure servicedelivery aligns with individual needs, organisational policies, SSSC Codes of Practice, and Care Inspectoratestandards.

The post holder will support the Service Manager in ensuring that deafblind people have the opportunity and supportto make choices that enable them to lead a full life and promote wellbeing and that their rights are at theheart of all service developments and improvements. The post holder will support the Service Manager in theperformance and development of the Guide/communicator service and will hold an important role to ensure thatDeafblind people are at the centre of all developments.

We are currently looking to recruit support workers to join our small team within Inclusion Alliance. The roleinvolves supporting people with learning disabilities to be included in the community and lead an ordinary life.Your work would involve helping people to access educational, social, leisure and work or volunteeringopportunities in the community.

No experience or formal qualifications are necessary for the role although a caring nature, positive attitude and asense of fun are important characteristics to have. New staff will receive paid training and undertake shadowshifts with experienced staff members during induction. We want new staff to feel ready and able to work priorto working on their own for the first time.

We have various vacancies available including part time and relief/casual positions in various locations throughoutEdinburgh.

• Working hours are based between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday

• We have various permanent and casual vacancies available.

• £21,239 - £21,567 per annum, pro rata based on a 35 hour working week

• Relief/ Casual pay rate- £11.67 per hour

Candidates must be caring, motivated and have excellent communication skills whilst being committed to working in aperson-centred way ensuring that support is built around the supported person’s wishes and needs.
