Job description

Our client is thriving in the public sector, our client leads with an adept in-house team proficient in diverse property functions. From civil engineering to project management, they excel across a spectrum of services, including contract management, surveying, asset management, and planning.

They are looking for a senior technician to join their team. As a Senior Technician specialising in Highways & Civils, you will be responsible for preparing technical design drawings, collecting and assessing vital information, and assisting in the implementation of highway projects. You will liaise with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and sustainability considerations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare technical design drawings and contract documents to facilitate the implementation of highway projects within budget and schedule.
• Collect, assess, and impart information essential for successful scheme preparation and implementation, including liaison with external bodies and contractors.
• Prepare estimates for budget assessment and monitoring.
• Liaise with relevant bodies and visit sites to provide solutions to construction issues.
• Ensure health and safety and sustainability considerations are integrated into design solutions.

You will need:

• RQF Level 4 in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in the design and construction of highway, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects.
• Competent in preparing highway maintenance and design schemes, including detailed drawings and schedules.
• Competent user of CAD software (e.g., Civil 3D, MX, AutoCAD) and drainage modelling software.
