About BikePark Wales

BikePark Wales is a young, successful business which is growing fast.  The current offering includes over 40 world class mountain bike trails, a vehicular uplift service, café, bike shop, bike hire, coaching and events but an ambitious development plan is now underway to both improve the existing services and add new products to the existing site.

 

The Role

We are looking for an energetic, responsible, and organised individual to join our Food & Beverage team as an F&B Assistant. This role will be an integral part of the F&B team, contributing to delivering a fun but professional environment; working as part of the team to create fantastic efficiency in the day-to-day operation of the department.

You will be responsible for processing our visitor’s food and drink purchases, including taking their order cash handling, creating & serving the product, assisting the chef in light food preparation, maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the F&B zone. You will be responsible for completing relevant compliance paperwork, including food and temperature checks, cleaning records etc.

You will be expected to engage with our visitors providing key information and messages throughout their visit. You will have a passion for, previous experience with, and great understanding of, quality visitor experience and will consistently deliver our customer service vision. Reliability and adaptability are vital for this role, as are excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills. You will support and encourage strong team working across all departments

 

Duties and Responsibilities to include:

Delivering a high-quality service and product that represent BikePark Wales to our visitors

Ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained throughout the café and the dining areas, including outside seating areas

Delivering exceptional service to all our visitors, face to face and through other methods of communication

Responsibility in completing opening and closing procedures of the till system, ensuring care through the day for the contents of the till

Assisting the F&B senior team in completing all relevant and regulatory compliance paperwork

Having pride in your department and work as a team to maintain a high food rating

Engaging with our visitors to share information they will need for their day but also share upcoming events

 

To adhere to existing working practices, methods, procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and to respond positively to new and alternative systems.

To co-operate with relevant health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures in the performance of the duties of the post.

To carry out the duties and responsibilities of the post in compliance with the Company’s equal opportunities policies.

To maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate.

To understand and comply with the Company’s environmental policies

To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the overall function, commensurate with the grading and level of responsibilities of the post

 

Key skills:

Working across the department to deliver an excellent visitor experience

Delivering exceptional service to all our visitors, face to face and through other methods of communication

Have the right attitude, being ready and willing to work hard and support the team

Relevant professional qualification, including Food Hygiene Level 2

Previous experience in a high-volume catering venue in a customer service focused position

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, working under high pressure

Fun, personable and can be a highly motivated self-starter

Willingness to learn and participate in internal and external training

Strong written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills

Numerate with experience of basic record keeping and cash handling

Basic IT skills (Microsoft office package)

 

Desirable skills:

Trained Barista

Food Hygiene Level 3 and above

Ability to communicate in the Welsh language

A keen interest in MTB and BikePark Wales.

Enhanced DBS certificate

First Aid Qualifications
