Job description

Clinical - Core: Assess, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate the peri-operative care of patients using specialist knowledge and skills. Acknowledge personal preferences, rights and choice of patients undergoing surgery. Maintain health, safety and the control of infection in clinical work areas in line with Trust policies and procedures. Store, prepare and administer prescribed drugs to patients, and monitor the effects of drugs on patients in line with Trust policies. Prepare, monitor and maintain materials and equipment for clinical procedures, take action if found to be faulty. Support, monitor and care for patients during clinical procedures. Contribute to treating patients during clinical emergencies. Receive, transfer and position patients for clinical procedures. Maintain accurate & legible records of care.
