Secondary Teaching Assistant Post
Overview:
- Title: Teaching Assistant
- Pay: £83.50 - £95 per day
- Hours: Long Term - Monday to Friday 830am - 330pm
I have a fantastic opportunity to work within a Secondary School who are focused on growing their team. The Secondary school located in Monmouth is looking for teaching assistants to work with ALN children within their ALN and ASD bases. Due to the needs of these pupils, previous experience working with Autism or additional learning needs is preferred. This is for a full time role working Monday to Friday on a long term basis for the right candidate.

The role : What you'll be doing as a Teaching Assistant
- Supporting and supervising activities within the classroom
- Helping learners stay on task and understand lessons
- Work in partnership with other members of staff
- Working with learners in small groups/ and or working 1:1 with learners with additional needs
- Support the class teacher in the delivery of the lessons
- Assist learners at break time with their lunch where needed
- Engage learners in the classroom and out of classroom activities
- Work in accordance to the schools behaviour management policies
The candidate: What you'll need to be successful as a Teaching Assistant
- At least 3 months experience of working with children in schools, nurseries or childcare settings - experience within an SEN setting would be beneficial
- Registration with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this
- References covering the last two years (no gaps)
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
- The right to work in the UK
