£4,385 Shift Premium per annum

The role:
To assist the Team Leader with the management of the production line; the people, product and process whilst meeting our H&S, quality, hygiene, manufacturing and cost targets. We need someone who leads by example, takes their work seriously and has excellent people management skills. To succeed in this role you will be enthusiastic, hardworking, reliable and flexible with the ability to follow instructions. Good attention to detail is also key to this role.
- Your normal hours of work are Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
- Shift working attracts paid breaks. There is no leaving site during paid break times.
- You will work the following three week shift pattern:
- Earlies: 06:00-13:30 Monday to Friday
- Nights: 21:00-06:30 Monday, Tuesday and 21:00-06:15 Wednesday, Thursday
- Lates: 13:15-21:15 Monday to Thursday and 13:15-18:45 Friday.
What you’ll be doing:
- Assisting with driving performance and growth through excellent operational knowledge
- Motivating and inspiring staff to achieve or exceed the team’s performance targets
- Supporting and encouraging the production team to embrace continuous improvement and lean projects
- To assist with the defining, creating and developing solutions to identify the root cause to problems to avoid future occurrences and develop this practice with the production team
- To seeking opportunities within the production team to make changes in a collaborative way to create improvements
- To assist the Team Leader ensuring poor performance is addressed and Employee Relation issues are resolved within the parameters of Company procedures, seeking guidance from Operation Management and HR where appropriate
- Complying with safety procedures including but not limited to: adopting safe working practices, wearing the required protective clothing and use of safety equipment appropriate to the role
What you’ll need:
- Strong awareness of manufacturing to high quality standards and resolving technical challenges to improve quality would be desirable
- Strong communication and people skills
- Proactive approach to tasks, working in a fast paced environment
- Good working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Proven problem solving skills, proven ability to prioritise and manage own workload
