Job description
On a weekly basis, we are fitting graded/Police response alarm systems and monitored CCTV.
The successful candidate will also need to develop some knowledge of IP networking in order to successfully complete larger CCTV installations.
The role will include:
· Install, maintain, and enhance security systems and components, including alarm systems, CCTV and door entry installations
· Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with the security systems and components
· Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows relevant codes and standards
· Perform preventative maintenance, test and maintain security systems and components to ensure proper functioning
· Complete required documentation of repairs and service information
· Ensure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts
· Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs
· Install, configure and test network infrastructure components relevant to security systems
· Learn and develop your knowledge and skills of CCTV Engineering and alarm systems
Training will be 4 days in the workplace with a tuesday at Hopwood Hall College, based in Middleton. Hard work and dedication will offer the opportunity to gain full-time employment at the end of the apprenticeship with this employer.
You will be qualified in the L3 FIRE EMERGENCY AND SECURITY SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN apprenticeship. By the end of this apprenticeship the candidate will have satisfied the requirements for registration as EngTech by the Engineering Council.
