Job: J15601 | Permanent Placement Full-time Danish, English-speaking Live-in International Nanny
Client location: Europe + International travel
Languages: English and Danish. If you cannot speak Danish but are passionate about it, feel free to contact us, but we are looking for a Danish-speaking candidate.
Days and hours: Mon - Fri 6:30 am to 9:30 pm (long break while the children are at school 8-4 pm)
Total hours per week: 45
Start date: March 2024
Salary: £4,500 - £5,500 gross per month depending on experience and languages
Children ages: 6 years, 9 years
Driver: A driver is required (Automatic & Manual) - you will be provided with your own car.
Travel: Worldwide (4-8 weeks)
Accommodation: Own bedroom and bathroom inside a luxurious flat with access to a large terrace.
Allergies: The youngest child is allergic to nuts.
Duties: Taking care of two children, aged 6 and 9. The children attend school Monday to Friday, usually from 8 am-3:45/4:10 pm (depending on the schedule). The nanny will handle school runs, the morning routine, and ensure the children have everything they need for school. The younger child is currently exhibiting challenging behaviour, so we seek someone who understands and is ready to implement a calm and patient approach to help the child deal with her emotions.
The family travels during common holidays, sometimes to Europe, sometimes outside of Europe (e.g., LA, Dubai, etc.). The nanny will be responsible for the evening routine, ensuring impeccable hygiene habits, setting a constant example of good manners and habits, and creating a good balance between indoor and outdoor activities.
The parents alternate living in the flat; every Monday, they switch places. This means the father moves in for a week while the mother moves out, and vice versa. The parent with a child-free week stays in another flat 15 minutes away. The ideal nanny will handle this situation, making the children feel as comfortable and supported as possible.
The ideal nanny will also provide support with homework when needed, take the children to their after-school activities, appointments, etc. No cooking is required as we have our own chef. Ensure the areas are tidy at all times. The family also employs a private cleaner. There is a small, white, sweet, and easy dog in the household, so the nanny needs to be comfortable with pets. The candidate needs an EU passport in order to work in Europe.
