Job description

We are currently recruiting a yard controller to join our client's team at their established site near Goole and support the effective operation of their busy yard and factory.

The main responsibilities of the yard controller will include:

• Main point of contact - Sign in all visitors to the site
• Take in and inform relevant companies about deliveries made.
• Support the transport department being aware of all movements of plant/equipment/ deliveries on and off of site
• Completing a full yard check per shift (opening/closing trailer doors)
• Instructing the workload of 4x shunters on shift
• Carry out fire marshal, first aid and spill kit checks, in line with training
• Make sure drivers paperwork is correct and copies taken when needed.
• Ensure that any works being carried out by third parties have in place the relevant paperwork s
• Single point of contact for depot
• Carry out daily checks and send information to Transport/Compliance team.

The successful yard controller will have;

• Experience of comms via teams, phones and emails
• Experience of operations in a busy depot environment.
• A great can do attitude and be a People Person
• Great organisational skills
• Great attention to detail
