You will be joining an established Earthworks contractor based in Derbyshire working on major earthmoving projects for high-profile clients. This multi-accredited contractor has a strong order book and offers excellent opportunities for career progression as well as the opportunity to be a part of major infrastructure projects in the Midlands region. Due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Planner to join their team.
Your new role As a Planner, you will provide full project life-cycle planning support and be responsible for, but not limited to, reviewing project programmes and ensuring they are regularly updated to meet contractual requirements, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, reviewing the project opportunity and risk register as well as supporting the business in claims and/or disputes. This role is office-based with site travel as and when required.
What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful, you will ideally have at least 3 years' experience in planning earthworks and/or groundworks schemes and understand sequence of works. In addition, you will be conversant with lookahead programmes and/or contract programmes as well as Microsoft Project. Finally, you will be able to work as part of a team and independently.
What you'll get in return You will receive a basic salary of up to £65k/annum (negotiable) plus a package on top (including company car or car allowance, 25 days' annual leave plus statutory holidays, health insurance and more) as well as the opportunity to join a leading contractor.
