We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council’s Financial Planning Team as a Finance Planning Manager .
Your role
Responsible to the Deputy Chief Finance Officer, we are looking for an exceptional professional to be responsible for the operational management of the Financial Planning team and ensure the team delivers the Medium-Term Financial Strategy.
Your duties will involve managing the preparation and delivery of the Council’s annual revenue budget setting process, in-year budget monitoring and reporting of the year-end financial outturn position.
What you will need
We are looking for someone who seeks continuous improvement with service delivery, is highly organised and pays attention to detail. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you will work closely with operational and back office services within the Council and external partners, to support the delivery of the Council’s corporate projects and initiatives.
You will be a CCAB qualified finance professional , seeking a role in a progressive, forward-thinking organisation which offers the opportunity to demonstrate key achievements to date, further develop your skills and lead on the delivery of a successful Finance function. It is essential that you have the knowledge and experience to lead a budget setting and management function, preferably in a public sector environment.
