Job description
Trade qualifications are desirable for this role, but not essential. You will be working alongside a small team to carry out a range of maintenance works within our student accommodation building. We are looking for a motivated individual who thrives under pressure and is keen to learn new skills. This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week - if you’re up for a challenge and keen to learn, we’d love to hear from you.

In the role of Maintenance Operative, you will have the following duties and responsibilities: · Carry out minor repairs within the communal areas of the building and inside the student rooms. This may involve minor plumbing, carpentry as well as minor electrical works. · Painting and decorating works within communal areas and within studios. · Liaise with contractors to carry out servicing and major repairs. · Help to maintain a clean and well-presented building. · Provide Excellent Customer Service to the building residents and any other guests · Responsible to ensure site is a secure and a safe environment for the residents and staff · Ensure all the relevant Health and Safety regime and regulations are complied with · Ensure compliance via the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programme, ensuring accurate records are kept online as required. · Assist and coordinate with resident move-ins and move-outs as necessary. · Responsible to ensure the buildings are a safe environment at all times, assisting with and complying with risk assessments and safe working practices.
