Lead Planner

Wrexham

Our client based in the Wrexham area is currently looking for a Lead Planner to join their team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible for the management of a team of supply planners with responsibility for all site-based production planning and raw materials management.

Performance Objectives
• Provide leadership and direction in Production Planning and Scheduling to support the site in meeting its objectives.
• Operate as the lead point of contact for Planning to internal Stakeholders and suppliers.
• Identify and implement improvement opportunities to the existing planning processes to drive efficiency.
• Partner with manufacturing teams to develop plans that ensure machine efficiency and availability, whilst delivering on time in full to our customers.
• Manage finished goods and raw material inventory levels and ensure adherence to target KPIs.
• Play a lead part in NPD work streams, bringing the voice of supply chain and ensuring successful delivery.
• Responsible for all short-term production scheduling and materials resource planning; successfully meeting customer demand whilst managing operational and capacity constraints.

Person Specification
• Proven track record of overseeing a planning function and managing a team.
• Excellent attention to detail without losing the bigger picture.
• Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain operational processes.
• Self-starter, independent and dynamic.
• Strong communicator across all levels of the business.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills – and able to understand and interpret data.
• Excellent IT Skills and SAP experience.
