Job description
Our client is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Nurse to join their team. As a Dental Nurse, you will work closely with our team of dentists to provide high-quality patient care and support. You will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of patient care, including preparing patients for treatment, maintaining dental equipment, and providing patient education. Our ideal candidate is a compassionate and driven individual with previous experience working in a dental setting.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the dental team with patient care, including taking patient histories and vital signs
- Preparing patients for dental procedures using appropriate infection control procedures
- Providing chair-side assistance, which may include passing instruments, suctioning, and providing patients with comfort measures
- Keeping accurate records of treatment and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Performing basic dental procedures, such as taking impressions and taking radiographs
- Maintaining dental equipment, including cleaning and sterilizing instruments
- Providing patient education on proper oral hygiene and dental care practices
Requirements
- Current Dental Nurse certification or equivalent experience
- Previous experience working in a dental setting
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
