Job description

You know NEXT, but did you know we’re a FTSE-100 retail company employing over 40,000 people across the UK and Eire? We’re the UK’s 2nd largest fashion and Home retailer and for Kidswear we’re the market leader. At the last count we have over 550 stores, sell over 750 brands online and it’s now possible to buy on-line from over 120 countries around the world! So we’ve gone global and not only that; we are now leveraging our expertise, amazing platform & infrastructure to well known brands via our Total Platform solution.

Our people are our most important asset which is why we put a lot of time and effort into training and making sure our employees are engaged, challenged and happy in their roles.

The role…

We are looking for a  Brands Trainer working within the Brands department.

This role is responsible for the creation and delivery of bespoke systems and process training as well as management of our internal communications within the Brands department.

Working closely with the wider Learning & Development and Talent & Development Teams at Next to support in developing and empowering our Brands Team with the required knowledge, tools and skills to deliver exceptional results.

You’ll be doing all this from our Enderby (Leicestershire) Head Office. You will be supporting the teams based in London and Market Harborough as well so regular travel is required. They are fast-paced, encouraging and supportive environments where we never underestimate what we can do. So bring your energy, play to your strengths and never shy away from change.

The day to day…

About you…

We're looking for someone experienced in a similar role who's passionate about training and development, able to motivate and inspire others. You should excel in engaging presentations and demonstrating various communication styles effectively to diverse audiences.

Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills are essential, particularly in a training environment. While experience with buying and merchandising systems is preferred, it's not essential.

The ideal candidates will have experience in both independent and team projects, demonstrating initiative, identifying new opportunities, and collaborating across functions, especially with Training, Learning & Development Teams.

We aim to support all candidates during the application process and are happy to provide workplace adjustments when necessary. Should you need support with your application due to a disability or long-term condition, feel free to get in touch with us by email [email protected] (please include 'Workplace Adjustments' in the subject line), or call us on 0116 284 2486 and leave a voicemail.
