Arboricultural Estimator Wanted - Kent
Estimator Sevenoaks, South East (United Kingdom) Full Time£33,000 - £40,000 (GBP)
About the job
- Attend site visits for both domestic and commercial clients to review works required and collate a cost estimation.
- To complete comprehensive risk assessments of scheduled works and varied work sites, to complete Site-Specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements and other H&S documentation as required.
- To instruct and direct where Crew Leaders with work schedules where required.
- To ensure team members are performing to expected high company standards and meeting the client specification, by carrying out regular worksite audits.
- To assist with the induction of new recruits and to coach staff as/when required.
- To assist in the management of the estimating diary.
- To ensure that all quotations are typed up concisely and dispatched to clients within a reasonable timeframe, within specific company KPI’s.
- To complete incident management forms following company procedures
- To keep in regular contact with the customer/client, to ensure compliance with specifications, workload, timescales etc.
- To assist on site with a crew when needed to within the remits of site capabilities.

Preferred Skills
Education: GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience: Ideally 5 years’ experience working as a climbing tree surgeon (or similar) is essential for this role. With a well-rounded knowledge of the Arboricultural Industry and specific requirements (timeframes and equipment/logistics) that are required to carry out any form of tree management work.
- A valid driving license is an essential requirement for this role to mobilise between site visits and working sites.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise between a variety of levels including management, crew members, domestic clients, and commercial clients.
- People management skills are required to enable cooperation with both clients and colleagues.
- To have good IT skills, ideally with experience of Office 365.
- Be organised with excellent time management skills.
- A professional and friendly, ‘can do’ attitude to any task.
